I’m no medical practitioner but I always pay attention to the little things regarding my body and health, in general. I advise you all to do the same.
You don’t have to wait till the signs and symptoms are overly visible before you consult a doctor. From a tiny red dot on your forehead, to the slight discoloration of the skin to even the slightest change in color of your urine, take note and don’t stay quiet about it.
Most of us usually don’t give much thought to our urine after it’s passed out. But it’s very important to take note of the color, smell, and how often you pee because it can give you a hint about what’s going on inside your body.
Urine is your body’s liquid waste, mainly made of water, salt, and chemicals called urea and uric acid. Your kidneys make it when they filter toxins and other bad stuff from your blood.
However, a bunch of things in your body, like medications, foods, and illnesses, can affect how yours turns out.
Here’s what the colour of your urine says about your health, as seen in the photo below:
Transparent – A sign of overhydration. i.e A person has been drinking too much water.
Pale Yellow – Means A person is healthy and hydrated
Transparent Yellow – Normal
Dark Yellow – Normal but needs to drink more water
Brownish Orange – Sign of dehydration or possible sign of liver disease
Pinkish Red – Possibly a sign of kidney disease, UTI (Urinary tract infection) or tumor
Blue or Green -Sign of a rare genetic disease
Foamy – Sign of kidney disease
Please take note and pass this across to as many people as possible… Let’s stay healthy.
